Hide Rugs require special treatment.  To keep your rug in good shape between professional cleanings, we recommend the following:  vacuum, shake and rotate your rug often.  When vacuuming, please use the brush attachment, not the rotating brush.  Remove dried spots by moving it towards the middle.  Never rub wet spots.  Use moisture by blotting with cotton or paper towels.
